Mix-EO treatment blocks melanoma growth in mice and suppresses systemic and tumor MMP9. A–D B16F10 cells were injected s.c. into the flank of C57/BL6 mice. Mice were treated with indicated dose combinations of EOs intraperitoneally (i.p.) daily starting from day 0. Twelve days after injection, microscopic tumor images were taken (A), and the tumor weight was measured (B; n = 6/group). C Collected tumors were analyzed for MMP9 expression by qPCR. Expression was compared to the expression in peripheral blood of non-tumor bearing mice (WT). D MMP9 plasma levels were determined on day 12 (n = 6/group).
