Fresh weight (relative to initial one) during vase life as a function of different concentrations of single- or multi- walled carbon nanotubes (left and right panels, respectively) in the holding solution of three cut carnation cultivars (A, B: Grand Slam; C, D: White liberty; E, F: Kirsi; Experiment 1). Cut flowers were well-hydrated at the onset of the experiment, while starting intact cut flower weight was similar among cultivars. Values are the mean of 10 cut flowers ± sem.
